Hi! I’m Ted Ziegenbusch

 

In 1982, Ted joined KOST 103.5 in Los Angeles. At KOST, Ted began an 18-year run as the most popular late-night radio music host in Southern California. With Ted's warm and caring style, he attracted nearly a million listeners every week to his nightly "Love Songs" segment. Ted left KOST in October 2000, ending his reign as the longest running nighttime host on adult contemporary radio in America.

For most of his years away from KOST, Ted was half of the morning radio team "Ted and Lauren in the Morning” on 95.9FM "The Fish" Anaheim. Ted was back on KOST in 2006 and was heard many weekdays and twice on weekends. For six weeks of 2008, Ted hosted the KOST Morning Show producing record ratings. Ted retired from KOST on January 15, 2020.

Ted is a member of Screen Actors Guild-AFTRA and has appeared in various movies, television shows and theatrical productions. Along with the legendary Dick Clark, Ted became the host of a nationwide television project called "The Heartline." He was also the host of the nationally syndicated radio show "Saturday Night Love Songs with Ted Ziegenbusch" for Jones Radio Network. Ted began his radio career at K/men and KCAL-FM in San Bernardino and then hosted morning shows on several of the top stations in San Diego. Over the years, Ted has also been a program director and hired programming consultant for many top radio stations in America.

Ted has been listed in several editions of "Who's Who in America" and "Who's Who in Entertainment." He is the 2019 recipient of the prestigious Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Who's Who in America. Also, Ted was given The Arvella Schuller Award at Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. The annual award was given to someone who had shown to be a consistently positive influence on America's young people. Previous winners included the late TV icon Steve Allen, Dr. Laura, Dr. Phil, former model-actress-entrepreneur Kathy Ireland and former Dodger's manager Tommy Lasorda. Ted Ziegenbusch has also been named All-Time Distinguished Alumni at both San Bernardino City Schools and San Bernardino Valley College.

Ted lives in Orange County with his wife of more than 40 years and has three married sons and five grandchildren.
