Catching Up

We're long overdue for a new page, just to catch everyone up and keep you informed, and (maybe) a little bit entertained.

While I continue to love coffee and drink it every day, the cost has spiraled eway up from just a year ago. What I once considred our favorite coffee brand for the home has hit $4 per ounce. So, we've tightened the belt and settle for a less expensive (but still good) coffee.

When vacationing in Hawaii, we purchase the 20 ounce bag of Lion's Coffee 100% KONA. The cost this year was $53. Obviously, that's much less than $4 an ounce and it tastes wonderful.

When out and about in Hawaii, we enjoy KONA Coffee Purveyors located at the International Marketplace. We also love the Honolulu Coffee Company with their 100% KONA and Haupia Pie. Likewise, on the northern shore, it's The Coffee Gallery for a great cup and a sweet delight.

Several newer coffee stops have opened near our home in Orange County, CA. We have yet to try Ziggi's Coffee (which seems a natural since my longtime nickname is Ziggy). Also, there are new Korean coffee locations, a few Mom & Pop stores, and more. If you have any suggestions for a great place to visit, share your ideas with a comment on this site or contact me directly.

I hope you've enjoyed your summer and we're llloking forward to a fun and much cooler autumn ahead.

Perhaps I'm just getting a bit too frugal. Lately, with spiraling costs to everything (especially food and drinks) it's costing a lot...
